Why choose The Game Assembly?
From day one the students at The Game Assembly get to make games. All in all they make eight complete games throughout their education. They start off with a text based adventure game and then move on to a point and click game and then a shoot-em-up game and so on and so on. The game artists work together side by side with the game programmers and by that they learn the golden rules of cooperation. That is to be humble, to give and take constructive criticism from your fellow students and to plan your time in an effective way.
We´re lucky to have Niklas Hansson (former Software Manager at Ubisoft Massive here in Malmö) with us who has the experience of making both “Ground Control” and “World in Conflict”. By that the students get all the inside tips on why “stand-up-meetings” are the most effective instead of meetings were everybody sits down and talk and talk and talk.
We feel that these are two of the most important factors in making our education successful.
