Gogogic at The Game Assembly

The Game Assembly had a visit from an Islandic game company this week, Gogogic. Since Island don´t have this kind of education we spent a long time talking about Advanced Vocational Education and Training (Yh-utbildning). That our education is commisioned by the game industry and we work with a modern handicraft.

We explained our close connection with the game industry and that our curriculum is build so we make games all the time. We have creativity-consultants calling us wanting to help our students to be creative…My only answer to that is “-Our students have plenty of creativity and the only thing we need is structure so we can help them to excel.”

After the meeting with Magnus och Jonas they asked how they can get interns to their company. We welcomed them to come and tell the students what they do and how. But they can´t pick any students before the 18th of April 2011. Before that they don´t have their portfolios ready.
