Game trailers for Class of 11´s game project #1
The first game all students make at The Game Assembly is a text adventure game. It´s made in a “language” called Alan and the pictures are all 2D. Text adventure games are not very commen now a days but we find the genre useful since it´s a fairly easy way to get acquainted with game making, game history, cooperation, finding ones character as a Game programmer/Game artist/ Level designer and so on. The artists get to make a lot of pictures for this game and it´s a waste not to show them. We have put them together in films where the slide shows the pictures follows the story.
The students had 8 weeks to finish this project parallel to working with regular school courses. The student groups consisted of 3 art students, 1 – 2 Level design students and 3 programming students each.
