TGA09 Text Adventure Games
This is the 09 students very first game. At The Game Assembly we want the students to start making games right away when they arrive here at school, so we gave them the task to create a simple text adventure game. To add a bit of extra flare to the games we gave them the possibility to add a few selected 2D images in their games.
The games were created using the Alan Interactive Fiction programming language. Alan is an easy programming language to get started with and caters for the specific purpose of creating text based games.
Here is a downloadable package containing the three highest ranked games. The ranking was done by having the students play and evaluate the games themselves. The titles in this package, “Subject 2546”, “A waste of time” and “Wrongfully Accused”.
Make sure to check out 09’s following 7 games which we will publish here continuously as the students develop them. The future games will of course evolve both code wise and graphics wise as the students acquire new knowledge here at our school.
