Fall at The Game Assembly
It´s cold outside and the leaves are turning yellow. But at The Game Assembly we are still walking around in t-shirts since we have computer heated classrooms. ^^
What’s new?
One of our many talented art students Simon Persson has a feature article in the latest issue of CGArenas digital magazine. In the article Simon gives us insight to how he created his beautiful 2D piece “Clara”. You can view the magazine here.
We have a The Game Assembly floor ball team since about a month ago. We practice on a regular basis and battle other teams on every other weekend. Our floor ball skills aren’t quite on par with our game development skills quite yet, but we’ll get there!
This week we’re starting our figure drawing evenings here at the school. This is an excellent opportunity for the participants to refine and perfect their skills. This is a collaboration between our school and Ubisoft Massive. These evenings will have both The Game Assembly students and Ubisoft Massive employees who will participate.
And last but not least. Emma Mellander, in our board of education, visited us and brought a bag of stuff from Tokyo Game Show. It was all in japanese but since we got Niklas Hansson he can translate it for us. It´s really nice to get a reminder of that we are a part of a large movement, the gaming world. Thanks Emma!
